Just under 1300 head of commercial Droughtmaster females were yarded at the 10th Annual Diamantina Droughtmaster Bull & Female Sale in Winton on Friday 17 May. Despite worsening drought conditions and a depressed cattle market all females sold well.
Eversleigh Droughtmasters presented a draft of 327 heifers made up of 185 PTIC and 142 chance-mated females.
Two pens of our red-tag PTIC No 2 heifers topped the sale selling for $1220/hd to Darryl Harland representing DOCE. Another pen of No 1 PTIC females was also purchased by DOCE for $740/hd. The PTIC heifers averaged $866/hd.
Our chance-mated females also topped their section with a pen selling to Paul Curran Consentes Past Co for $380/hd. Overall the draft of chance-mated heifers averaged $346.13/hd.
